Hi beautiful femmes! Shalimar here! It's nice to meet you. I push myself to write then share these kinds of things. It isn't always comfortable for me due to being raised by a stunning and beautiful straight southern belle mother who hammered "lady like" into my head. She is glamorous and sensual but there were never discussions of anything sexual in my home. Very taboo subject.
ReplyDeleteI discuss and write on this subject because I think there is a need to share things with my sisters. In a world where sexual theme is everywhere, I think we, as femmes, deserve a place where we can openly discuss whatever we want and Les Femmes is our place!!!!
Being an old school lesbian feminist, my definition of "Lady Like" is different than my mothers. I believe that being a lady isn't about not talking about sex nor does it mean we should suppress our desires. I really do believe that being a lady means having desire, sharing desire, CAUSING desire (woo hoo) and turning that desire into romantic intense sexual experiences! Be creative! Being femme does not necessarily mean being submissive, so go be adventurous. Whip out your lady power and show'em what being a lady is all about!!!
